CHICO, Calif. – Action News Now is learning more about the True North Housing Alliance’s first-ever navigation center in Chico.
It will be called the Howard Slater Navigation Center, named after long-time supporter and local contractor Howard Slater, who died last year.
The Slater family has donated $200,000 toward the center. True North said they wanted to honor Howard because of the Slater’s commitment to supporting their mission to address homelessness.
“This is just one thing out of many many the Slater family has done for us in the 26 years we have been an organization,” Ashiah Bird, True North Communications Director, said. “We are just so thankful for this support.”
