Chico State’s Wildcat Weekend offers lots to do on campus and around town | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – Chico State is hosting its 3rd annual Wildcat Weekend to show off the university’s campus, students, and programs.

Chico State Public Relations Manager Andrew Staples said, “In a college town like ours, Wildcat Weekend means everything. It’s a chance for not only Chico State to showcase itself, but for the whole community to come together.” 

Wildcat Weekend provides an economic boost for downtown businesses, as well as being one of the most attended Chico State event of the year.

On Saturday there was an alumni barbecue and live music — and more events are scheduled for Sunday.

“We know that downtown is critically important for our students,” said Staples.

“It’s only natural to make businesses a part of Wildcat Weekend and to have them on campus — and also have all the 2,500 people who are going to be here —  go downtown.”
