Chickasaw Police give toys to families [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Chickasaw police department is celebrating the holidays and giving back. As a part of the department’s first ever Christmas giveaway. The event put on by the department’s community engagement team and they are helping families in need this holiday season. Randall Wheeler says it’s a great way for people to meet and get to know their officers.

“We pick 25 family’s out of the school system. They have a wishlist, and we are going to provide the full wishlist. They are going to be able to have a full dinner with us. And they will get to mingle with their police and get to know their police in different schools.”

Chickasaw families are grateful for the support. Christine and her daughter say the show of kindness means a lot to them.
