CHICAGO — The Chicago Sky fired coach Teresa Weatherspoon after one season, reports said Thursday.
The Sky did not immediately return a message sent by The Associated Press seeking confirmation of the reports but confirmed the news in a social media post Friday.
“After careful consideration, we have decided it is in the best interest of the organization to part ways with Head COach Teresa Weatherspoon,” Sky Co-Owner and Operating Chairman Nadia Rawlinson said in a statement.
