Chelsea eyes Euro 2024 star as injury crisis deepens with Wesley Fofana out for season [Video]

Chelsea‘s defensive woes have taken a grim turn as manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Wesley Fofana could miss the rest of the season.

The French center-back, who suffered a hamstring injury in early December, has been a key figure for the Blues this season, clocking over 1,000 minutes across all competitions.

Maresca addressed the situation in a press conference, stating, “Unfortunately, Wes will be out for a very long time. He could miss part or all of the season.” While surgery is not currently required, the extent of the injury is worse than initially feared.

This blow leaves Chelsea scrambling for reinforcements as they aim to maintain their position in the top four of the Premier League.
