Charles Barkley makes an appearance at Fredonia State [Video]

There were rumors of Charles Barkley sightings Friday night. Then came the social media posts.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — There were rumors that NBA legend Charles Barkley was spotted here or there around Fredonia on Friday night, and sure enough, social media provided proof of his appearance.

The Village of Fredonia Police Department posted a photo of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, flanked by several officers, on its Facebook page.

“Slam dunk for our night shift! Our officers met NBA legend Charles Barkley tonight, a true gentleman and supporter of law enforcement!” Fredonia Police said in the post.

There are also videos of the NBA legend at a local hangout, mingling among the people. With a mic in his hand, he told the crowd he attended a Fredonia State men’s hockey game.
