Greyson Holbrooke Smith, weighing eight pounds and two ounces, was born at the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
According to a CRDAMC press release, Greyson Holbrooke Smith is the first of the year born at the hospital.
Parents First Lt. Brady Smith, air defense artillery officer, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, and Danielle Smith are excited to bring Greyson Smith into the world.
The baby, delivered at 3:04 a.m., weighed eight pounds and two ounces and was almost 21 inches in length.
The family enjoys Central Texas, having moved to the area a little over a year ago. The couple is from Rancho Cucamonga, California, and has a two-year-old daughter.
“As soon as we get moved over to the mother-baby unit, grandma is going to bring [her] over,” Brady Smith said.
Brady Smith praised the experience and said it was less scary than the first time.
