CORINTH, Maine (WABI) – For those who celebrate, there’s nothing like being a kid on Christmas morning and waking up to presents under the tree.
Corinth’s Central High School (CHS) is celebrating two decades of spreading holiday magic by providing this experience to kids in need.
Radio station Kiss-FM started the Christmas Is For Kids program in 1982.
“42 years now, we’ve been connecting really generous, awesome people in the community with kids in our community who won’t have magical Christmas morning experiences without their help,” explains Kiss-FM DJ Mandy Exly of the program.
These donations are given to Penquis to distribute across 13 local organizations.
At CHS, advisory groups of students choose children to sponsor and then collect funds to buy them personalized presents.
