Macon schools say they have collected hundreds of canned food items to get ready for the event.
MACON, Ga. — Thursday was the final day of 13WMAZ’s 2024 Stuff the Truck event, and the Central Georgia community made sure to make the most of it.
Hundreds of people from the area showed up to both the Warner Robins and Macon locations to give back to their community. Some brought cans, others volunteered and everyone got involved in Stuff the Truck.
Some Central Georgia schools raised hundreds of cans for Stuff the Truck 2024. Cirrus Academy says they donated 900 cans to the holiday cause.
Ryan Amadoudakayoko is a student at Cirrus Academy. He says his school loves to give back to the community.
“To help those in need and support those that are in trouble with food and other things,” he said.
