UTICA, N.Y. — Hanukkah begins at sundown on Wednesday, which also coincides with Christmas Day.
During Hanukkah’s eight nights, Chabad of the Mohawk Valley will host three public ceremonies.
The first event will occur in Herkimer on Dec. 26 at Myers Park, starting at 5 p.m.
A ceremony will take place in New Hartford on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Village Green, located at the corner of Oxford Road and Genesee Street.
Additionally, a public menorah-lighting ceremony is scheduled in Utica on Dec. 30 at 5:30 p.m., at Lafayette Square—formerly known as Liberty Bell Park—at the intersection of Genesee and Lafayette streets.
In Clinton, a menorah-lighting ceremony will take place on Jan. 1 at 4 p.m. on the Village Green, hosted by the Sands Chabad House of Clinton. This event will include a gelt drop, thanks to help from the Clinton Fire Department, along with fresh donuts and …
