Carolynn Children and Family Foundation supports families with kids who have special needs [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) -The Carolynn’s Children & Family Foundation is all about empowering children with disabilities and supporting their families with comprehensive resources, compassionate care, and a strong community network.

Founder Sarah Wilkinson stopped by Morning Break to share her own family’s story through her daughter’s epilepsy and how that inspired them to create a nonprofit to help other families like their own get the resources and support they needed. Joining her was new board member, Brian Farley, and volunteer specialist, Jolynn Armstrong.

This year, they’re launching various support groups for families, both parents and siblings. The first one takes place Saturday, Jan. 11 at 6 and 7 p.m. at American Family Care (3080 Vista Blvd. #100, Sparks).
