Things are getting dicier in Canucks land.
Following Vancouver’s decisive 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, head coach Rick Tocchet voiced some frustration with star forward J.T. Miller’s game.
“He’s struggling. He’s caught in between. Seems like every time he’s on the ice, something bad happens,” Tocchet told reporters in the post-game press conference.
Miller finished the evening minus-2 in goal differential with zero points. It marked the fifth consecutive game that Miller didn’t appear on the scoresheet.
“He’s gotta look at himself right now and focus on some of these reads. You can’t dive in on the four-on-four. I think he’s trying, but I think the focus level needs to be higher.”

Perhaps Tocchet’s comments could be an incentive for Miller to improve his game as this slump drags on.
