JEFFERSON CITY — Several candidates running for the Missouri House in the November’s election spoke at a public forum at Jefferson City’s city hall on Wednesday.
Candidates from districts 60, 49 and 59 attended the forum.
The event was held by the Jefferson City News Tribune, who also posed questions submitted online by community members.
District 60
The candidates seeking the District 60 seat are Rep. Dave Griffith, a Republican, and challenger Jamie Howard, a Democrat.
Griffith has represented District 60 for the last six years. Howard, on the other hand, is new to politics and works at Downtown Book & Toy in Jefferson City.
Both Griffith and Howard served in the military, and Howard worked in law enforcement for six years.
