Call to Freedom hosts CommUnity Breakfast [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Call to Freedom welcomed over 1,000 attendees at their annual CommUnity Breakfast to combat to sex and labor trafficking victims.

The Sioux Falls Convention Center quickly filled up Wednesday as the doors opened at 6:30 a.m.

“This is our only fundraiser that we do here in-house and it’s just bringing awareness but also fundraising for the survivors that we serve,” said Call to Freedom Managing Director of Development and Community Engagement Monica Rilling.

The 9th year of the event featured survivors sharing their stories.

“We want people to walk away with that human trafficking is happening here in South Dakota, in Sioux Falls, but also just bringing more of that awareness of what it actually looks like in our community.
