Calera CASE program announces partnership with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children [Video]

CALERA, Ala. (WBRC) – In an effort to keep your children safe, the Calera Police Department’s CASE program is partnering with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Officers said this community education partnership will enable school resource officers to better educate children and parents about online safety and victim support, something the CASE program has been working to combat.

This partnership will allow CASE to get the most up-to-date information and trends from around the country.

“Kindergarten through 12th grade on the risks that come along with using Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram. What are the signs to look out for as far as grooming, when to go see a trusted adult if somebody asks you something inappropriate or makes them feel uncomfortable,” said Sgt. Robbie Grant with Calera PD.

The partnership will also allow the CASE program to better support victims and get them the resources they need.
