BYU Cougars prepare for upcoming Valero Alamo Bowl, eyes showdown with Colorado Buffaloes [Video]

SAN ANTONIO – The BYU football team practiced at Trinity University on Thursday to prepare for the 32nd-annual Valero Alamo Bowl.

Head Coach Kalani Sitake and his players focused intently on their drills, gearing up to face the talented roster of the Colorado Buffaloes.

After practice, the team headed to the Alamodome for a press conference.

Defensive coordinator Jay Hill, offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick, quarterback Jake Retzlaff, wide receiver Chase Roberts, offensive lineman Connor Pay, defensive end Tyler Batty, defensive back Jakob Robinson, and linebacker Isaiah Glasker spoke with the media.

The Cougars are preparing to face Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner, two-way star Travis Hunter.

“They’re obviously very effective in what they do. They throw the ball as good as any team in the country,” Hill said. “Shedeur is completing a lot, a very high percentage of his passes, and he’s got four very good weapons to throw …
