Businesses, including Jackson Medical Mall, are eager for homeowners in the Village at Livingston Place [Video]

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The opportunity for Jackson home buyers to soon move into a new housing development is rapidly approaching.

Their largest neighbor, the Jackson Medical Mall, is eager to see the impact the new community will have on the area.

In the not-so-distant future, developers said dozens of new homes will start off in the new community, and the Jackson Medical Mall played a role in the Village at Livingston Place.

“We’ve been supporting it ever since they started the thought process,” said Jackson Medical Mall Foundation Executive Director Primus Wheeler.

The mall is about a quarter of a mile from the planned housing development.

The 1.2 million square foot facility includes the branches of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson State University, and 83 other tenants.
