BUFFALO, N.Y. — The first day of school is just around the corner for Buffalo students and the district is highlighting the district’s upcoming school year.
Buffalo Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Tonja Williams Knight delivered her ‘State of the Schools’ address Wednesday.
She highlighted areas of focus, and goals for the upcoming school year.
Dr. Williams Knight also spoke about the district’s ‘Five by 2025 plan, which works to limit opportunity gaps, expand education access, ensure safety, amplify local voices and activate new partnerships.
“For the last two years we have stayed united. We have stayed encouraged and we have stayed optimistic about the brilliance of our children,” said Dr. Williams Knight in her address. The excellence of our staff who teach our children and the stellar leadership of those leading our children.”
