The annual Turkey Trot race will take place at Manito Park on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m.
SPOKANE, Wash. — Although many places are closed for Thanksgiving and most people will be celebrating with family, there are a few community events that people can attend to get out of the house and enjoy.
One of the most anticipated events around the country for Thanksgiving is turkey trot races.
In Spokane, the Bloomsday Race Runners Club (BRRC) will host its annual local Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m.
The race will take place at the Manito Park Duck Pond. BRRC will require people to make a $20 donation to Second Harvest Inland Northwest in order to participate in the race.
BRRC encourages wearing comfortable shoes and warm clothes for the race and recommends that people carpool to Manito Park as parking is limited.
