A Brockton man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Fairhaven Saturday evening while riding a moped, according to authorities.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office identified the moped driver as 29-year-old Alexis Alvarez.
Officers responded to the crash near Riverside Cemetery on Main Street around 7:10 p.m., Fairhaven police said in a press release. Authorities initial investigation indicates that Alvarez was riding a moped south when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling in the same direction struck the scooter and then fled the scene.
