Briscoe King Pavilion getting upgrades [Video]

The 4,920 sq. ft. building will accommodate 300 people and have features the previous facility doesn’t have.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Nueces County Coastal Parks and the city of Corpus Christi are working together to construct a new community facility at the Briscoe King Pavilion that will include several modern features. 

Nueces County Coastal Parks Director Scott Cross said the 4,920 sq. ft. building will accommodate 300 people and have features the current facility doesn’t have.

“The new facility will have a small caters kitchen,” he said. Ït’ll have a, like, reception area in there and then your assembly space, your mechanical closet and all that stuff. And it’ll have a balcony.”

Along with Nueces County Judge Connie Scott, Commissioner Brent Chesney helped secure funding for the project, which will cost an estimated $5.9 million.
