Brewton welcomes home high school football player injured on field [Video]

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The power of social media — making way for a special homecoming in Brewton. Friday T.R. Miller Sophomore Quarterback Ken Lett, Junior — returned home. That’s after months of rehabilitation in Atlanta — following an injury on the field that broke his neck.

A lot of people have been following Ken’s recovery journey — including David and Liz Knowles — who did not know the family before this. Liz put out a red ribbon at her home and the school back in November — and when she found out last week the family was returning home Friday — she wanted to do something more. Encouraged to post it on social media — Liz put a callout for the community to paint the town red — and let’s just say love took over.
