Brad Pitt strongly reacts after scammers posing as him get arrested; ‘It’s awful’ [Video]

Brad Pitt issued a statement after five people were arrested for impersonating him online. Through his representative, Brad issued a warning related to scams happening under his name. The Hollywood star is not on social media.

Brad’s representative told PEOPLE, “It’s awful that scammers take advantage of fans’ strong connection with celebrities, and this is an important reminder to not respond to unsolicited online outreach, especially from actors who have no social media presence.” Brad enjoys great popularity worldwide.

Brad’s statement comes two days after Spain’s Ministry of the Interior announced that five have been arrested and more are under investigation for posing as the actor online. The group of people who are involved in this allegedly scammed over $350,000 (over AED 12,85,560) from two women online.
