RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows (BGCTM) and the Reno Police Department (along with Community Services Agency Reno) have teamed up for the 5th annual National Night Out to Reno.
Naomi Valenzuela, Family Plus director at BGCTM, and Christopher Johnson, PIO for the Reno Police Department, stopped by Morning Break to invite the community to enjoy this opportunity to connect and have fun.
National Night Out takes place Tuesday, Oct. 1 from 2-7 p.m. at Miguel Ribera Park.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
