For the past few hours, Kermit has been dealing with a water issue. Now, the city is under a boil water notice.
KERMIT, Texas — Water issues plaguing the City of Kermit on Sunday has led to a boil water notice to go into effect, according to a press release from the city.
On the City of Kermit’s Facebook page, a few hours ago, they made the public aware that there was a water issue and that two of three water supply pumps had to be restarted.
Then, as of 4 p.m., Kermit Mayor David Holbrook said all pumps were running and tanks are filling. However, one tank level switch was bad and showing full. Mayor Holbrook said repairs were then underway.
