WOODROW, Minn. — The body of an 18-year-old man was recovered after two people went through the ice Monday evening on a lake in northern Minnesota.
According to a press release from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, rescue crews were called to Blackwater Lake in Woodrow Township just before 6 p.m. Monday on reports of two people on an ATV going through the ice. Officials found a 20-year-old man in the water and pulled him to shore where he was treated for exposure and hypothermia. Authorities say the man was then airlifted to a St. Cloud hospital.
Crews continued to search the water for the second person, but officials say rescue efforts were unsuccessful on Monday. The body was recovered just before 1 …
