Blues’ Torey Krug to undergo season-ending surgery [Video]

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Blues defenseman Torey Krug will undergo surgery on his ankle and will miss the entire 2024-25 season, the team announced Tuesday. 

Krug, 33, will have surgery to address pre-arthritic changes in his left ankle, according to a press release. President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced the decision was reached after an effort to rehabilitate the injury through non-surgical interventions. 

The defenseman signed with the Blues as a free agent in October 2020. He has recorded 146 points (22 goals and 124 assists) in 255 regular-season games with St. Louis. 

Overall, he has played 778 career regular-season games with the Blues and the Boston Bruins. He has a total of 483 points (89 goals and 394 assists) in his career.
