Bleeding profusely: Woman severely injured in dog attack, police say [Video]

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) – A woman in Georgia is in critical condition after she was attacked by her neighbor’s dog, according to authorities.

According to a police report, the attack took place on Maryland Drive in Albany around 4:08 p.m. Sunday.

The victim was identified as Elizabeth Warrener. At the time of the attack, Warrener was reportedly in her backyard feeding her cats. The neighbor’s dog, which was described as being brown and white in color, attacked her while she was in her backyard.

In a Monday press conference, Albany Police Chief Michael Persley said the dog’s owners were also bitten on Saturday. He also said the dog was a pit bull.

When officers arrived at the scene of the attack, Warrener was taken to a hospital emergency room by EMS. An animal control officer was also notified of the attack.
