A dozen people, including six children, are displaced after a fire at their apartment building Sunday night.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Twelve people were displaced from their home after an apartment fire on Sunday night.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department was dispatched to the fire at 8:46 p.m., according to a press release from the fire department. It happened in the 1900 block of King Henry Court at the Regency Apartments.
The two-story, four-unit apartment building had smoke and flames coming from the back when firefighters arrived.
The fire was marked under control at 9:06 p.m. and marked out at 9:33 p.m. There were no injuries to residents, firefighters or pets.
Six adults and six children were displaced., and the apartment’s management is assisting in providing other units for temporary housing for the displaced renters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
