Following a series of cryptic social media posts hinting at the news, BLACKPINK’s LISA has just announced her debut solo album Alter Ego, set to release on February 28, 2025 on her own label, LLOUD, with support from RCA Records. LISA is the first BLACKPINK artist to release a full-length solo album, although each member has released singles independently.
The full-length project announcement trailer casts the Thai-born K-pop star in five distinct sci-fi locations, including a Blade Runner-esque warp tunnel, a thunderous hellscape and a verdant mystical glade, each reported to represent a different aspect of LISA’s identity. The chart-topping artist is then depicted travelling between these locations through a five-pointed star which is reported to become a key emblem of the upcoming album campaign.
The three-minute announcement video also features excerpts from LISA’s three successful solo singles released this year – “Rockstar,” “New Woman ft. ROSALIA,” and “Moonlit Floor” – suggesting their inclusion in next year’s release.
