Black Community Collective to host second annual gala and online auction [Video]

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – The Black Community Collective (BCC) is hosting its second annual gala Saturday, Nov. 16.

Dr. Edward Coleman, executive director of BCC; Janelle Smalls, a graduate of the BCC Entrepreneurial Literacy and Financing Program (ELF); and Helen Townsell-Parker, an honoree and author of the book, “A Cry for Help,” and virtual tour at Reno Historical; stopped by Morning Break to talk about this month’s event.

Other honorees include Ken and Demetrice Dalton who created the Northern Nevada African American Fire Fighter Museum.

The gala takes place Saturday, Nov. 16 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nevada Museum of Art. Click here to learn more and purchase tickets.
