Birmingham Crime Commission seeks community input to reduce homicides [Video]

The Birmingham Crime Commission is calling on residents to help make the community safer following 136 homicides so far in one year.This initiative follows Mayor Randall Woodfin’s mid-October announcement of the formation of the independent Birmingham Crime Commission.Their main goal is to gather information on programs and strategies that have successfully reduced crime, especially homicides, in other areas.Mayor Woodfin said the commission has 60 days to provide a report of their findings to his office.
