The event will kick off with a pep rally and press conference on Monday, and then will have multiple other events across Macon-Bibb at 29 different locations
MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking to invite Macon natives to join together to “unite against crime.”
The sheriff’s office is hosting its annual Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Night to Unite event hoping to promote involvement in in various crime prevention activities. They’re also hoping people will get more involved in law enforcement and develop community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie by encouraging communities to unite against crime.
In a release, the sheriff’s office said that several Neighborhood Watch groups and neighborhoods throughout Macon-Bibb will be celebrating the Night to Unite event with multiple outdoor activities. They are as follows:
- Block parties
- Cookouts
- Neighborhood clean-ups
- Flashlight walks
- Story time
- Distribution of various supplies
- Visits from law enforcement
