BeiGene elevates biomarker testing in Test Before Treat campaign [Video]

BeiGene is back with a new partnership and oncology campaign to raise awareness about biomarker testing for patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a blood cancer marked by the overproduction of lymphocytes.

The cancer biotech announced Wednesday morning that it is partnering with CLL Society to launch the Test Before Treat campaign, which seeks to inform patients about biomarker testing prior to treatment in order to find the best personalized approach for them.

Blood tests identify cancer biomarkers — genes, proteins or other indications that provide insights into a patient’s illness. Biomarker tests can show whether the cancer is likely to grow as well as which therapies are most likely to be effective — a crucial part of what’s known as precision medicine.
