Beeville students wear pink in memory of baby who died Wednesday [Video]

‘The decision to wear pink was a heartfelt act of love initiated by a parent in our community,’ said superintendent Travis Fanning in a statement.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As the community continues to mourn the tragic loss of a 9-month-old baby girl killed in a hot-car death in Beeville, students and staff at Beeville’s A.C. Jones High School wore pink in her memory.

The sea of pink at A.C. Jones High School on Thursday was organized to help their classmate, whose baby sister died in the city’s hot-car death.

The original idea on Facebook on Wednesday quickly got more than 200 shares, with the school’s full volleyball team wearing pink Thursday.

The students said it was their way of letting their fellow Trojan and their family that they have support during this difficult time.
