Beaumont United’s head football coach resigns [Video]

BEAUMONT, Texas — The head coach of Beaumont United’s football team has reportedly resigned according to a press release from Beaumont ISD.

Darrell Colbert, Head Football Coach and Campus Athletic Coordinator at Beaumont United High School reportedly offered his resignation to the school Wednesday to “pursue new opportunities”.

Colbert helmed the Timberwolves over the last three years, looking to build up the relatively new football program.

“Coach Colbert has been an integral part of the Beaumont ISD family, inspiring students, athletes, and colleagues with his unwavering commitment to excellence,” Beaumont ISD wrote in the press release.

In a statement from Beaumont ISD, Colbert helped the program achieve milestones on and off the field.
