BEAMING equine service buys ranch near Neenah [Video]

VINLAND, Wis. (WBAY) – A nonprofit that gives people with physical and mental conditions an opportunity to bond with horses now has its own ranch.

BEAMING Inc. purchased property in Vinland, near Neenah, which will let it expand its equine-assisted therapy.

BEAMING rented its facilities for 14 years. It serves children and adults with diverse abilities, seniors with dementia, veterans and at-risk youth.

In 2023, it provided over 4,000 equine experiences, including its Riding in the Moment program for people with dementia and memory loss, in partnership with University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The new BEAMING Ranch plans to expand programs in 2025, including free, overnight equine experiences in cozy bunkhouses and monthly, free events for veterans.

Visits to BEAMING are by appointment only.
