BBC The One Show fans demand ‘answers’ as Jermaine Jenas’ axe ‘ignored’ on air [Video]

Alex Jones did not mention the departure of her colleague Jermaine Jenas during Thursday’s edition of The One Show. It came after it was reported that Jermaine had been dropped by the BBC following claims of “inappropriate behaviour”.

On Thursday’s episode aired on August 22, 2024, hosts Clara Amfo and Alex skirted around the topic of their fellow presenter’s axing, sparking debate among viewers on social media platforms such as Twitter.

Alex opened the show with: “Hello, and welcome to Thursday’s The One Show on BBC One and iPlayer with Clara Amfo.” The hosts went on to congratulate students who received their GCSE results today, however, Jermaine’s exit was not addressed.

One fan asked: “I wonder if their now infamous former colleague will be commented on?!”, while another queried: “Where’s Jermaine?”

Adding to the discussion, another tweeted: “They should at least mention there’s someone missing and won’t be seen again #TheOneShow,” reports
