But it wasn’t long before viewers took to X, the platform previously known as Twitter, to voice the same grievance – just minutes into the show.
Countryfile’s loyal audience were left scratching their heads over why the programme focused on fishing rather than farming. One viewer tweeted in bemusement: “Am I watching #Countryfile or fishing weekly?!” accompanied by a puzzled emoji.
Another X user expressed discontent, writing: “Any chance of some farming on this episode? #countryfile,” reports the Express.
A disgruntled fan remarked: “Wow. I love #countryfile but jesus. A whole episode about how to fish. Not about the environment, the issues faced by fish, the countryside just fishing #zzzzzzzz.”
