The vigil will honor the victims of Wednesday’s tragic deadly shooting at Apalachee High School.
WINDER, Ga. — Following a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, the city is planning a vigil to honor those lost.
“Time to be together and grieve for the horrific events that unfolded in Barrow County today,” the post said in part.

Four people are dead, nine others are hospitalized, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, Georgia, on Wednesday, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investiagtion.
“Reports that the suspect has been ‘neutralized’ are inaccurate,” the GBI said.
According to CNN, approximately 30 people were injured in total– including the nine people who the GBI said were hospitalized.
CNN also reports that the suspect in custody is “of student age.” At this time, it’s unclear if that person attended Apalachee High School.
