Sheriff’s investigators identified the man arrested in connection to the violent attack on a valet at Barney’s Beanery restaurant in West Hollywood.
Dorian Gray, 28, was arrested for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and battery, deputies announced during a press conference Tuesday morning. Deputies said Gray is homeless and has a criminal history involving property crimes and theft.
On Sept. 14, Efrain “Frankie” Zarazua was attacked outside Barney’s Beanery restaurant.
“The victim was punched and he was knocked unconscious when he hit his head on the ground and then the suspect kicked the victim approximately seven times in the upper torso and in the head and witnesses described him as also stomping on the victim’s head during that incident,” Detective Brandon Zeff with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department told reporters.
Zarazua was hospitalized in the ICU but was moved out. On his GoFundMe page, his wife said he was back home.
