Bandits Invade Sokoto Villages, Displace 3000 Households [Video]

Suspected armed bandits have invaded Lanbara and Tunga Barki villages in Shagari local government area displacing over three hundred households and rustle over three thousand, cattle, camel and other livestock.

Members of the communities attacked have all relocated to Shagari town. Headquarters of Shagari local government area taking refuge in an Islamic school.

Member representing Yabo/Shagari federal Constituency Yusuf Yabo has alongside official of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA visited  the victims in their temporary displaced persons CP for on the spot assessment.

The lawmaker call on the security agencies and the authority concern to redouble efforts in restoring peace so the affected persons can return to their respective homes.

He acknowledged that. Sokoto South Senatorial District is one of the most peaceful parts of Sokoto state and saying this kind of occurrences should not be tolerated so as not to disrupt the peace the people are enjoying.
