AUSTELL, Ga. — Austell is sowing the seeds for a sustainable future, thanks to a $75,000 grant from the Food Well Alliance, to develop a comprehensive City Agriculture Plan. The initiative aims to bolster access to fresh, local food while fostering community engagement and education.

Owner Nick Robertson is part of Austell’s steering committee for the agriculture plan and a hands-on advocate for local food initiatives. Robertson’s restaurant integrates produce from its onsite garden into its menu and cocktails and is transforming into a future farmers market, offering fresh, locally grown options to the community.
