Auburn Housing Authority hosts fall festival [Video]

Residents have a chance to grow a deeper relationship with local first responders Thursday afternoon at the AHA Fall Festival at the Auburn Housing Authority’s main office on Booker Street. 

Formally known as Auburn’s community-building event National Night Out, the free AHA Fall Festival will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at 931 Booker St. Guests can enjoy food trucks, games and giveaways and a petting zoo. 

“There’s a lot of crime that’s going on and people don’t like to talk or tell when things are going on in their neighborhood,” said Tabitha Griffin, the Alabama Housing Authority’s’ executive business coordinator. 

Expect vendors with community resources, bouncy houses, photobooths, rock climbing, and a live DJ. 

Organizers said they rebranded the National Night Out event, because the AHA Fall Festival is a catchier and more recognizable name.
