AUBURN, Ala. (WBRC) – Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze opened his Friday morning press conference at the Woltosz Football Performance Center by shouting out the Auburn women’s soccer team after their 4-0 win against No. 5 Clemson on Thursday. The win marked the largest margin of victory against a ranked opponent in program history.
Freeze said he hopes that’s a sign to come for all Auburn athletics this season.
The Tigers have certainly received some preseason hype with freshman wide receivers Cam Coleman and Perry Thompson added to the offense. All eyes are also on quarterback Payton Thorne to see how he builds off his first season as the starter.
