Attorneys request to reschedule Kory York case [Video]

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – A joint motion to reschedule the trial date for the Kory York case from Sept. 23 to Oct. 28 has been sent to presiding Judge Thomas W. Rogers.

In Dec. 2022, York – a former Louisiana State Trooper – was charged with one count of negligent homicide and 10 counts of malfeasance in office as a result of Ronald Greene’s death.

According to Kory York’s attorney J. Michael Small, the date change was requested due to “witness availability problems.”

In a press release from Small, he said in part, “It is anticipated that the trial will be rescheduled for that date.”
