Athletes from around the world are making their way to Killington Ski Resort on Thanksgiving Day ahead of the Stifel Cup on Saturday. People on the mountain who will be attending said they could not be more excited to see this year’s event. “I think it’s great that we can host it is really cool to see a bunch of great skiers,” the Sherman family coming up from Connecticut said. “Everyone coming to Killington, pretty exciting.” Those NBC 5 spoke with on the mountain said they’re especially routing for Mikaela Shiffrin. She is going for her 100th World Cup in the state she trained in. “Last year, we got the pleasure to meet her. Got a couple of autographs. Really cheering for her,” Matthew Jensen said.
