Atrium Health surprises families with gifts for the holidays WSOC TV [Video]

CHARLOTTE — Students at a local school got an early Christmas surprise Friday.

Atrium Health adopted five families from Governor’s Village STEM Academy.

They showered the children with joy and a closet full of presents off their wish list. Their mothers also got gift cards and goodie bags.

Even former Carolina Panther cornerback Josh Hawkins came out to support.

“I think the holidays is a special time and moment for family and friends to come together to treat everyone how you would want to be treated,” Hawkins told Channel 9.

The gifts were part of donations from the community. Atrium Health says they’re thankful for each item that supports families.
