Artist claims ads of Harris in Eagles helmet [Video]

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — An artist has claimed the “absurd poster” of Vice President Kamala Harris wearing an Eagles helmet as his work, but says he does not know how it ended up at SEPTA bus shelters around Philadelphia.

The advertisement popped up around Labor Day, declaring Harris as the “official candidate of the Philadelphia Eagles.” Images began to circulate on social media, and the Eagles quickly addressed it, saying on X, formerly Twitter, that they were aware of it and were working with their advertising partner to have them removed.

After nearly two weeks, street artist Winston Tseng posted to Instagram saying his work uses brands and advertising to communicate societal issues. And that the poster is “a parody of the ads we see along I-95 promoting the ‘official beer’ or ‘official accounting firm of the Philadelphia Eagles.’”

“The title of this work is Political Endorsement, and that’s the issue at hand,” he said.
