Video above: An artificial intelligence policy could be underway for the city of Albuquerque. The proposal is sponsored by Albuquerque city councilors Tammy Fiebelkorn and Dan Champine. The proposal is aimed toward responsible and ethical use of AI through principles to ensure transparency, fairness, accountability and the protection of individual human rights in activities related to AI conducted by the city and its community. The proposal also outlines a list of city departments to include staffing for a group of technical experts and local stakeholders to help develop the policy. The list includes Mayor Tim Keller’s office and the Albuquerque Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center. “If you turn on the TV nowadays or read any kind of online news, you know AI is becoming a big deal; it’s everywhere, and we can only expect that to get more and more as time goes by,” City Councilor Tammy Feibelkorn said.”Here …
